I had the pleasure of attending the Colour Me Beautiful Conference on Friday 26th & Sat 27th February in Covent Garden. CMB consultants travelled to the event from as far a field as Capetown. I met up with many of my friends including Ria Strauss, the managing director of Colour Me Beautiful South Africa and Anki Svensson the M.D. of CMB Sweden. As the leading consultant at CMB I was asked to deliver a workshop for the company - CMB entitled it ‘an audience with Cliff Bashforth’ I presented to consultants from all over the UK, Ireland, Slovenia, Sweden, France, South Africa & China.

Apart from catching up on gossip, learning some new techniques and networking, we were all there for the launch of the new publication ‘COLOUR ME BEAUTIFUL’. I received an award; in fact, it was CMB’s CROWN award which is the highest accolade one can have - lucky me!!

I’ve just had a marvelous weekend away; working of course! One of my dearest friends, Sally Tears, the Sales Manager at Miglio, along with Sue Dean, the Joint Managing Director invited me to speak at their annual conference on Saturday 23rd January.

I was honored to be asked to deliver a 45 minute presentation to over 150 Miglio consultants on the Saturday morning. Then, I hosted 4 workshops (with approx. 35 consultants at each) entitled ‘Selling by Colour’. The Miglio girls had great fun discovering whether they were Emeralds, Citrines, Sapphires or Rubies! The awards dinner in the evening was just fantastic….. I even walked away with a bottle of champagne!

Not only a celebration of 50 years on this planet but also another major milestone in my life as I’ve now been in the image business for 21 years! If you work that out; that means I was 29 years old when I trained as an image consultant with Colour Me Beautiful.

Friends of mine, Ann & John Dean hosted a garden party in the grounds of their fabulous home at Broughton, Preston in aid of Vine House Cancer Research. I replaced my Colour Me Beautiful hat with a Utility Warehouse T-Shirt to help friends on the ‘Win A Mini’ stand.

Bowker BMW of Preston kindly let us have this fabulous Mini One of the day. Visitors just had to complete a simple questionnaire to enter the Prize Draw. Thos that wanted to save money on their Utility Bills made appointments with my colleagues to discuss the savings in greater detail. Anne, Chris & Sonia agreed to donate their commission to The Vine House Appeal.
