Our New Book - Colour Me Beautiful; The London Launch

I had the pleasure of attending the Colour Me Beautiful Conference on Friday 26th & Sat 27th February in Covent Garden. CMB consultants travelled to the event from as far a field as Capetown. I met up with many of my friends including Ria Strauss, the managing director of Colour Me Beautiful South Africa and Anki Svensson the M.D. of CMB Sweden. As the leading consultant at CMB I was asked to deliver a workshop for the company - CMB entitled it ‘an audience with Cliff Bashforth’ I presented to consultants from all over the UK, Ireland, Slovenia, Sweden, France, South Africa & China.

Apart from catching up on gossip, learning some new techniques and networking, we were all there for the launch of the new publication ‘COLOUR ME BEAUTIFUL’. I received an award; in fact, it was CMB’s CROWN award which is the highest accolade one can have - lucky me!!

Lodge Make-Over

Our lodge has recently had a bathroom make-over. Despite the fact that it’s only 5 years old, we decided to upgrade both the main & en-suite bathrooms. This 2 bedroomed lodge situated at South Lakes Leisure Village is available to rent from the first week of February to the first week of January each year (inc. Christmas & New Year).

As many of you are aware I work with many retailers all over the country. What’s fabulous about working in stores is that I can actually put all my knowledge into practice and show people how the cmb system works.

I’ll be conducting FREE 30 minute consultations in SPIRIT OF THE ANDES STORES. The shops have a fabulous range of alpaca knitwear (amonst other things!) in stunning colours! The dates and locations are as follows:

Miglio Designer Jewellery - The Conference!

I’ve just had a marvelous weekend away; working of course! One of my dearest friends, Sally Tears, the Sales Manager at Miglio, along with Sue Dean, the Joint Managing Director invited me to speak at their annual conference on Saturday 23rd January.

I was honored to be asked to deliver a 45 minute presentation to over 150 Miglio consultants on the Saturday morning. Then, I hosted 4 workshops (with approx. 35 consultants at each) entitled ‘Selling by Colour’. The Miglio girls had great fun discovering whether they were Emeralds, Citrines, Sapphires or Rubies! The awards dinner in the evening was just fantastic….. I even walked away with a bottle of champagne!

Christmas at the lodge

Barney meets Santa

Barney Bashforth is just over 2 years old now so he’s starting to get an idea of what Christmas is all about. He’d been pestering us to go and see Father Christmas for weeks. We finally gave in and took him along on the 19th December (the day it snowed) so he could show Santa his ‘What I want for Christmas list’.

Another star guest at my birthday party was Barrney Bashforth, the Colour Me Beutiful team mascot! Actually, he was an important part of the evening as he’d celebrated his birthday the week before (7th October). It means of course that Barney’s star sign is Libra also!

It’s the ‘BIG 50′ for Cliff!

Not only a celebration of 50 years on this planet but also another major milestone in my life as I’ve now been in the image business for 21 years! If you work that out; that means I was 29 years old when I trained as an image consultant with Colour Me Beautiful.

New Image Consultant training in Durham

With numerous cosmetic manufacturers reporting an increase in make-up sales in the news last week; Colour Me Beautiful are also finding August a superb month as far as training new image consultants is concerned. I believe women want to feel good about themselves; even more so should they have to ‘cut-back’ on other products and services because of the current economical climate. It seems that there’s never been a better time to join Colour Me beautiful as an image consultant…….we offer ‘life-changing services!’
